Approval of previous meeting minutes

Action: Karl Nelsen made a motion to approve meeting minutes from November 21, 2023, motion seconded by Amy Gavigilo. All in favor. Roll call vote 4/4.

Old Business

The RDAC Principles and Procedures Document: The Council will vote on the proposed Legislative Agenda. The scope of the agenda topics will be deliberated through the workplan and align with the pillars and principles of the Council. This document will be public facing and will be presented to the full council when approved. The policy funding will follow the Utah state policy guide and once reviewed and approved by the policy subcommittee, will be presented to the Full Council. ED Barnes will work with some other state agencies to make a decision on how RDAC wants to disseminate our policy guide.

Advocacy day was discussed, and it is scheduled for March 5, 2024 at the Capitol. It was recommended that a patient facing townhall happen before March 5 th to inform the patient advocacy groups about available gene therapies and how to be a voice in 2024. The University of Minnesota is having their events on March 7, 2024.
